So my symptoms are: like a 5% runny nose, extremely sore throat, and coughing-usually resulting in coughing minor phlegm up or having to swallow and feeling something come down with the saliva. Ok, so, I went to my school's medical center and saw some nurse woman, who obviously didn't know much. According to her my throat is fine (even though it hurts like a *****), and that my lungs sound fine. I asked her whether this could be a viral or bacterial case, and she didn't know. So now that I think of it, I believe this problem is from post-nasal drip. This would explain me having no need for a tissue and the extra gunk that I'm swallowing. Hm, could this be a possibility? Actually, if this were the case (and the phlegm was clear by the way, same with whatever comes out of my nose), I'm not technically sick with a infection..it could be say seasonal allergies, but instead of having a normal runny nose, I get the nasal drip, leaking into my lungs and irritating my throat possibly. Whatever this is I need it gone pronto. 3 tests in the next week and I feel like crap. Last night I left my room to sleep in the study lounge, because I was coughing all night and didn't want to wake up my roommate. I was given a few things from the doctor (some decongestant and 'diphenhydramine') which is like a benadryl. Hehe, I can't wait to take two tonight and go to sleep fast.
