I HATE running... (injury report included)

I can't say enough on how much I hate running. So yes when not biking I do run (stupid me). My wife is a triathlete and a marathoner so I get sucked into doing some 10 miler and half marathon races. This means I have to put in some sort of effort to train. Had a long ride planned for sunday and decided to do a 6 mile run saturday.

Running, I have a few uncomfortable things happen, blisters on my feet, swelling ITB etc.. nothing too serious.

But Saturday the most ridiculous thing happened. My polar heart rate monitor literally stuck to my chest, I didn't notice and the constant movement of my 50min run basically tore my chest apart. So strange, I've worn this thing sometimes all day and this has never happened... OUCH.

Lesson learned.... don't run. Bike.

Running is pure evil.

Friends don't let friends run.

wow, that is danger! I have never had mine stick to me.

I still maintain running is good stuff, though. I've dropped more fattage running than cycling (I don't get the intense food cravings after)

oddly my hr monitor has shown far more calories burned for bike vs. running - but I haven't done anything longer than a 5K in a very long time (like, before HR monitors were invented)

That's why you get a heart rate monitor that is only on your wrist. I have one by Mio. May not be as precise, but it is close enough.
