Tell me a happy memory

From a trip, a great moment in your existence, or a peaceful memory, maybe one of contentment.

Playing the Abba Greatest Hits 8-track on the new stereo and dancing to the tunes with my momma in the living room. I was about 7 or 8 years old.

...her... had come to visit me, and when I got off work, dinner was waiting for me. It was Mac n Cheese and it was ok, but the last time I dated someone who made me dinner was like 10 years ago. It was really sweet.

When my mom used to take me to have custard pie and hot chocolate once a week. It was just me and her and nobody else.

A key moment in my life was in high school when I walked a young lady home, and we stopped at the grounds of a local girl's school in a secluded spot, and sat down to talk.

I was always shy, but I really liked her, so for the first time in my life, I leaned over and kissed her, and she kissed back.

I literally passed out.

My many happiest memories were all spent out in the fields and swamps as a kid. All by myself - I'd get a tickle up the back of my spine as I would head out every morning wondering what I'll catch, what I'll see.

Happy memory...that has to be when my 2yr old sis was thrown out in the snow only wearing her diapers because she was being a screamy, whiny brat. Of course, my mom didn't leave her out *that* long--t'was only 2-3mins, tops--but when she was brought back in, she was well-behaved. I was 7 at the time, and I found it terribly amusing.

Ok, I am a bad, bad person. But...if I ever move to a snowy place, that will be my method of discipline in the winter.

At a camp in what was rural Texas at the time, walking down trails with tall trees forming a complete canopy overhead, something rare here.

Going to the Planetarium with my Dad when I was a kid. It was one of the few times I got 1 on 1 time with him without my siblings competing with me.

I musta been a fisherman (or a fish) in another life - mine always come by the shore - wading in the Mediterranean at age 2, standing in the Pacific about 12 yrs ago, running off hiking trails to some beaches, etc etc.

Oddly, I can't swim, and even odder, I did used to know how - so you really can forget

The times my brother and I used to bike ride through the back trails and go down to creeks looking for bullfrogs and crawdads. Those were happy carefree times.

My first flight on a passenger airliner to San Diego -- from Wisconsin on a bitter cold, overcast morning of December 16th -- and when we reached the altitude above the thick blanket of white cotton cloud, and I saw the clear blue sky and the bright risen sun, man, I was awestruck.

Probably when I was around 12 yrs old ... laying down in a park, looking up at the kite I was flying against a perfect blue sky. One of the most contented, calm moments of my life. I often refer to this memory when I need to calm down.

No, just drunk Indy's handwriting and typing is illegible. Just think how bad it is when I am sober and then imagine how bad it must be when I am drunk.
