Let's brag about our SO

This morning, I got a flat on my commute. I then noticed my tire levers were at home. I was able to get the tire on without the levers (and now have the blisters to prove it).

But, I had never used my CO2 inflator thingy. Tried to use it this morning, no such luck. The dumb thing didn't even work.

I called my fiance to see if she could come by, about 5 miles off her route to work to bring my pump so I could fill up and go the rest of the way to work. She agreed, and found me stranded on the corner with my bike.

Who needs ladys of foo, I've got one right at home :-]

My old lady will kick anyone's a55 in Scrabble, has an uncanny ability to remember numbers, can talk Salman Rushdie or Robert Asprin, is game for adventures & road trips like going to Tonto National Monument and Hopewell Culture, and is cool beyond belief. She also likes Firefly. So dreamy.

Reminds me of my ex-wife (not that I am bragging).

She could recall the complete TV schedule for the 70's... Year, day of the week, time of day and channel...

It's like, I could remember the show Emergency, she could remember it was on Tuesdaye nights at 8:00 on Channel 4 from 1973 to 1976 (I just picked randomly, as I have no clue when it was really on)

And she could do this for shows whether she liked them or not... She could just as easily do it for shows she wouldn't be caught dead watching as for her favorites.

Of course, we are talking about someone who while in Okinawa for 9 months would sit and watch Japanese television for hours each day, while not understanding a word of Japanese.

My wife is like a gravitational force of awesomeness. Wherever she goes, she's the life of the party, the therapist, the best friend of everyone. Anyone will talk to her about anything. Plus she's hot, and currently pregnant with our 2nd son. Here's a pre-preggo pic from last winter, goofing off at a wedding:

My sweetie is my angel of mercy. She knows that when the dog makes one of his gigantic craps in the house it makes me gag like I'm gonna puke. Dog just had an accident. I'm disgusted. She just volunteered and took care of it.

I've been sick with a rotten cold. She gets me my medicine.

It's good to be me.

Hope will sit there and I'll say "Gretchen the German maid on Benson". BOOM! Inga Swenson.

Ok, I think. Lucky guess. "Tommy, Alice's son from Alice". Philip McKeon - Nancy McKeon's (Jo from Facts of Life) brother.

FREAK! I yell.

Any show that was on during the 80s. Probably 77 - 92 time frame, she can name everybody from the show.

Oh, also like to add that my SO was slightly overweight when we met, got bigger after the first kid. She changed her diet, hit the gym 6 days a week, lost 75 lbs. in less than a year (gained a bit back, thank goodness). What do you know, diet and exercise DO work! Then went on to become certified as a personal trainer. It was a total lifestyle change, she was raised on meat-and-potato dinners, with the "clean your plate!" mentality. I have total respect for her, I couldn't imagine actually doing all that myself, even though I saw her do it every day.

She can walk. This is a big deal because almost 11 years ago she was in a car accident. A drunk lost control of his car, hit her head-on and knocked her car back far enough that when he bounced off the guard rail, he hit her again, sideways. She spent 2 years in a wheelchair with doctors telling her that the likelihood of walking again was almost non-existant due to the extent of her injuries. She can't walk very far; but she can walk.
