needs me a little positive foo

Well, the taco party was on. About a half hour after guests arrived, my mom called my cell- I put one of my longtime friends on it to say hi- and she started yelling about an emergency, put me on...

Apparently, my dad had an accident on his segway today and was taken to the emergency room. She insisted I stay put until she knew what was going on... about a half hour later, she rang saying he was taken to surgery.

I closed up the taco shop and hauled rear to the ER, where I'm now sucking up their bandwidth.

Serious internal bleeding - Triple "A", abdominal aortic aneurysm. I'm still googling what that means. Sounds like it was a condition worsening over time, he is probably lucky this accident is what caught (caused it to worsen?).

At any rate, would appreciate a little happy foo.

It sounds like something significant, of course, but not totally uncommon and definitely repairable given early or timely detection - which this case sounds like....

thinking positive waves your way and fingers crossed....

just out of surgery- the impact of the accident ruptured a pre-existing aneurism the surgeon was able to repair it,take care of the internal bleeding and replace lost blood. hes headed up to ICU and I'll check in shortly and take my ma home.

Any time.

I hope your father gets well soon. Tell him you love him (even if he is "out"). Tell your mom that everything will turn out OK. As others have mentioned, he is in good hands.

Late to the thread Arti but glad to see that they were able to patch things up. He should be feeling tons better with the addition of blood.

((Hugs)) to you, to dad, and to your family. Lots of prayers for your family and prayer of thanks to the hospital staff.
