Cakes

So...we have a pie thread, we should have a cake thread.
What's your favorite cake? I'm partial to Red Velvet cake myself.

While I like a variety of cakes --- lately I've had the craving for the small petite red velvet cupcakes with a light cream cheese frosting. The manager of the cafe/bakery also rides a bike so I stop in, talk shop and take home a treat.

Carrot cake rocks, but I like pie better than cake in most cases.

The Chocolate Stampede at Longhorn Steakhouse...

The Chocolate Wow at Pizzeria UNO

And, of course, anything chocolate I make in my kitchen will eat your teeth right out of your mouth before you can take a swig of your chaser...

Chocolate cake, the richer and moister the better.

Rich fruit cakes (xmas cake, with the fruit soaked in brandy, rich).mmmm

Caramel and ginger slices. I have a sweet tooth and I like cakes. Besides when you mention pie, I automatically think of steak, mince or other meat pies.
