Long, boring telcons.....that you have nothing to contribute to, but "must" sit through.
Don't they just suck?
Better than "training" that sucks. At least they can't see that you're bored, plus you can read something else.
+1 for webinars on software I'd never use, even if it wasnt too expensive to consider purchasing.
The yearly hazmat training session is going on today, and our EH&S team doesn't seem to find the problem with using the lunchroom as a training conference room.
"Well, we take a half hour break for lunch and people can come in and eat then."
Sure we can... At 1pm when you break. I got here at 6am, shipdit. I go home at 2:30; I am NOT waiting until 1pm for lunch.
Kick some arse in that lunchroom!

Having to listen to Big Brother's drone about how many boots were produced and how well the war against East Asia, I mean, Eurasia is going.
I sorta got busted for falling asleep during a phone conference. I was breathing kinda hard..not snoring, just breathing. Till I heard someone say really loud: "Who da hell is sleeping?". Of course that jolted me out of my slumber and I answered: "Huh? I'm up, I'm up." And then everyone started to laugh. The big boss was upset so I never really admitted to it. Sorta.
There is a guy that is single handedly responsible for extending our weekly calls by 45 minutes from nonsensical questions and conversations. We all went to Denver a few weeks back for a class and had a team building exercise that consisted of paintballing. Let's just say that he got shot a "few" more times that everyone else.
