Poll: Do you have a TV in your bedroom?

That's it, simple question. Do you have a TV in your bedroom?

TV = television set, not computer or iPod etc

and

bedroom = the room you normally sleep in.

No. And thankfully, although we both love tv, my bf & I agree there should never be one in the bedroom.

I don't have one now, but I did when I was a kid. Looking back at how much time I spent staring at that box when I was young, there's no way my kids are going to have a TV in their bedroom (when I get around to having kids).

Our bedroom is the only habitable room left in the house...

No, my wife will not allow it. Good so far, we don't really watch that much tv, so I haven't really wanted one to this point....

We didn't while the three years we were living together, or the first 5 years we were married. Now we do but it's on the Weather Channel more than anything else.

32" Flat screen mounted to the wall with all cabling run through the wall to the next room (office). Very clean installation. Only the TV visible. Now i need to get a RF DirecTV reciever so I don't have to get up to change the channel. The Fiance's PS3 is bluetooth so that goes through the wall just fine.

Yes, bit it gets surprisingly little use.

Edit: My girlfriends parents do as well, but it is inside their mirror, so when it's not on, you can't see it. Too cool.

No. NO. NO. NEVER.

Apart from anything, I'm pretty much blind without contact lenses, so a TV in the bedroom would be more or less pointless.

Ummm..... That's kind of hard to answer for me, because I have a TV tuner card in my computer, and it's one of those fancy pancy ones that come with a remote. But I voted "no".

I can sleep through just about anything, and The Girl likes the ambient noise/flicker to fall asleep (don't ask to try and explain it; she just does). She sets the sleep timer on the TV, the noise doesn't bother me or the dog, and everyone's happy.

The only time I'm happy to have a second TV is when The Girl is watching a movie I really don't care about, because I can go in the bedroom and play Xbox games.

The two best habits I ever got out of were TV and soft drinks. I still have a Coke when I go to the movies, and I still keep a TV for video games and new seasons of LOST, but I watch an hour a week at most. My bedroom is filled with books and, uh, Megan Fox.

Technically, yes. But it's in storage there, not hooked up.

No, and probably a good thing. My g/f likes to watch tv to fall asleep (at least she used to)....I can't stand noise/light. It's bad enough she stays up with light on for a while doing crosswords while I'm trying to fall asleep.

I have been sleeping by myself for the last few years myself after having broken up with the last bf I was going out with for 8 yrs - and I have to say I sleep at night, without shame, with the TV on. No more do I wake up and toss and turn and look at the FUGLY clock to see what FUGLY time it is and then toss over and pretend I'm sleeping.

Hell if I wake up, tv's on -- I've actually watched some good PBS science shows that I may have fell a sleep to a couple weeks earlier, etc.

I do not make any move any more to stifle my sleeping environment, like making quiet, etc. When I fall asleep, I do ... if I don't, then I get up. Until then - it's TV time.

However a man would help.

Did have for a long time - recently moved it out in an attempt to make sleeping more possible.
