What "As Seen on TV" item did you buy.

Was it worth $19.95

We bought a floor dusting thing. Still use it.

I bought the Potato Mitt ($4.99 at Tuesday Morning store).

Doesn't work quite as well as they make it look, but it still is quite a bit easier than the old fashioned way (with knife or peeler).

The Smart Spin
It's actually pretty useful, for bringing lunch to work... but they're not microwave worthy.

Do most As Seen on TV products have blue color schemes? I think all cooking ones are white...

I would buy a stake in Billy Mays' death. Or at least getting his vocal cords removed.

Other than that, I figure if the stuff featured needs to be marketed so relentlessly to sell any of it, it must be garbage to begin with.

I bought the scissors that could cut a penny in half.

Then I cut pennies in half until they were broken.

I've seen two products on TV that I'm interested in, but I haven't yet bought them: Barack Obama/Joe Biden and John McCain/Sarah Palin.

I saw a FAL in the movie Dogs Of War, then I bought one. Does that count?

Magic bullet blender thingy. It works surprisingly well, and it's a favorite in our kitchen when making stuff that is too small for the big food processor.

Actually - I forgot about this and just now realized all this disappeared with the Ex who moved in with a couple of girlfriends and then one kept all his stuff - which included this.

Worked excellent with duck!

I bought OxyClean and was actually pleasantly surprized; the stuff REALLY WORKS!!!! I used to use some dishwasher soap in a bucket for washing cars. Tried anywhere from 1/8th to 1/2-cup per gallon and it works OK. Then I tried Tide laundry detergent and that's even better at 1/8th-cup per gallon. Did a better job of removing grease-spots and oil from white-paint. But just one scoop (about a big tablespoon) of OxyClean did a way better job of cleaning off grime from my car than anything I've ever tried!!! Wow.... Although I bought a 2-pack from Costco at 1/2 the price they were advertized for on TV.

I with everyone else on Billy Mays...

I always mock his high pitched voice and full-motion hands and arms.

"HI, I'M BILLY MAYS ... AND I'M A COMPLETE LUNATIC!!!!" That's what I say when he comes on. It's not funny on the internets. But, when I mock him, it's freaking hilarious. Trust me. I flail my arms, raise my voice. I sometimes run and get my blue button up, get my fake beard and hair piece, put a pillow under my shirt. Then I try to sell you a piece of useless crap and say ... "AND IF YOU ORDER IN THE NEXT TEN MINUTES ..." Good times. Good time.

The Ronco Vegitmatic slicer from my childhood was the most ingenious device ever made. I wish I could find one new. I guess modern food processors have made them obsolete. Now I have to use a mandolin slicer to make french fries. Not quite as easy or fun as the Vegimatic.

Billy Mays is the biggest ho on TV. He'll try to sell anything!

(+1 for OxyClean)

Haha, holy crap that guy is obnoxious. My son (6) loves the commercial for some reason, and my wife is about ready to buy one. But I've seen something like this about 8 years ago with the Speedo logo on it, for swimmers. It really did get all the water off, but felt really weird on the skin, like rubbing rubber on your arms.
