Yep, working. Playing with a scythe, of course. Of course, the shock always is "who is that old geezer in that foto!?"

I am actually getting pretty good at it, and it is really good for you back. Not all that hard, really.

You are quite right. I had a lot of it in my life too. My dad would use it every weekend the whole season and when he couldn't, it was up to me to cut grass. Getting up at 5 AM and start with a swoosh. You can cover a lot of ground with it in short time and as you said, it is a great exercise.

Now I bought one for our place and started using it.

Where do I buy a reaper? I always have to cut the grass with a machine and I can't stand the fumes. Plus, the reaper can double as my halloween prop.

What about sheep then? They won't ringbark your trees, plus you can eat them if they misbehave or indeed on Sundays.

I had sheep at one time, and they worked well, until a back of wild dogs killed them all one night. I am thinking of having one or two.

And you are incorrect, there are trees that they will eat. And they would definitely much on my figs... This would cause them to interact with something much worse than wild dogs... ME!

I love fresh figs, just plunked from the bush... And yes heather, you can have some starts...

Well when they do, you have an excuse for roast lamb/mutton.
