The Whiney Thread

I have two projects in the works and can't move on them and so what I have left to do is to correct a bunch of books that contained an error by sticking a leetle sticker over the bad word.

<whine> oh boring of blah. Only one in the office and I want to go.

feel free to join in.

I've been sick all week. It started Sunday night. Haven't been able to ride. Haven't been able to do much of anything. My whole body hurts. Dang blasted flu....

I have HOURS AND HOURS of work to do before I can go for a bike ride.

I had planned a weekend of rides but I'm spending Saturday with my mom (she's making me look at dresses -- yecch), and it's gonna rain on Sunday. Boo!

My stupid sewing machine won't work for me! It'll work for anyone else who'll touch it but not me! Schtoopid piece of crap!!

Glad to share the misery.

Toronto is nice out right now. When I go out it'll change to something awful!

I was skip for our curling game last night. As caller of shots it was fine - as thrower of rocks I sucked.

I'm off from work for the afternoon, but only because I'm going with The Girl for a very frightening doctor's visit.

(It's never anything good when radiology schedules an immediate return visit.)

My cheapo ikea bookcase collapsed under the weight of all my books, and now I have to get a sturdier (read: more expensive) bookcase. Plus, all the books and knickknacks that were on the shelf are now scattered all over the floor, so my room looks even more like a dump than usual.

It's chilly and raining here, but I like this kind of weather. Did I do that wrong?

A new spin on an old favorite. Cinder blocks and wood planks, paint it to make it look nice (use lots of primer, block filler, or spackle for the first layer, otherwise it'll soak up all the paint). It'll hold more weight than you could ever put on it. Customize for your space, and change it up on occasion. Wider, taller, more bricks, less bricks, different colors, have fun with it.

Wow, that looks pretty! Unfortunately I have no time to go around painting cinder blocks. I'm so busy that I can't even go out today to get the new bookshelf--it'll have to wait til Saturday--and if I get too busy on Saturday, my room will remain a dump until next week.

WAAAAAAAAAAAHMBULANCE, take me away!!!! I need a whole week's worth of rest and recuperation, preferably in a spa.
