I'm bored with the internet - Help

I have about 6 websites I regularly visit.
  1. Bikeforums
  2. ebay
  3. ted.com
  4. collegehumor.com
  5. facebook.com
  6. hotmail
  7. digg
  8. craigslist

I get bored of them really quick though. If I'm at the computer I'm probably just rotating through them for new posts on facebook/BF/craigslist/collegehumor. It's pretty boring and I'll generally go do something else instead.

What do you guys use the internet for? Are there any simply amazing websites that are very useful which I haven't found yet?

Whatcha got for me?
Matt

Well, I may cancel my plans this week. I'm not going to get a thing done while there is a puppy cam on the interwebnets. I'm going to have to get my fleece blanket, a large bottle of water, some snacks, and I'll be here watching puppies. Life is good!!!!

fuzzbox 10-26-08 05:12 PM

I know it is feeding time. I can't stop watching even though nothing is going on.

The Internet was more fun when there were less people on it. The higher the number of users climbs, the more of an effect the Lowest Common Denominator has (see: Foo, blogs). At this point, The Internet is almost as banal as Television. Its only saving grace is instantaneous access to music/pornography and Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal.

My suggestion is to stop trying to squeeze blood for a turnip and go ride your bike to the closest megabookstore, get a coffee and start reading something interesting that's actually written in complete sentences and has to pass by an editor. The bonus to this is: lonely suburban housewives w/ nothing to do while their husbands are at work and the kids are at daycare.
