The little things that make you happy....

Sometimes it's the little things that make you most happy.

The other day my oldest daughter (7yo) and I were sharing chocolate chip cookies and dipping them in milk. I taught her that a couple years ago. Afterwards it hit me as one of those small cool moments you have with your kids.

Also, my youngest (9mo) has learned that to get something she wants she just flutters her eye lashes (blinks) and gives a giant smile. We call it "pretty eyes" and even at 9mo she already has us wrapped around her baby fingers!

What "little" things make you happy?

Here's another recent thing that made us laugh... The oldest wanted to sleep in the crib with her little sissy.

Have a good day everyone!
Gary

Oh that picture is hella funny. Good thing the baby has on a diaper!!

The little things that make me happy.....Dang there are sooooo many of them. It's the simple things. For example, being able to go ride with my buddy yesterday and laugh our heads off.

Or when my best friend calls and leaves a message saying he is calling just to leave a message because he was thinking of me.

Or coming into work and everyone is happy and helping each other out.

Or arriving in my driveway and looking at the house knowing it's mine and how hard I worked for it.

Or the way I get greeted by my cats and dogs when I open the door.

Ohhhhhhh lots of things, Gary. Lots of things.

My oldest son used to do that with my youngest. Now they like me to set up a two man camping tent in one of their bedrooms and let them have a "campout" together.

We were thinking the same thing! Good thing those huggies have leak guard! hahaha!

Yeah, Siu, you're right. There are sooo many little things that make us happy!

Although we still got to get out on a ride together. That'd make me happy! I've missed all the group rides you've been on. And a lot of the rides the NorCal guys go on are hilly and long! Sometimes a nice easy flat ride makes me just as happy! hehe!

It sounds strange but I makes me happy when I call my oldest daughter and it seems like she has no time to talk to me, it makes me feel as if she dosn't need me, and its then that I know my mission is complete She's an independant women just like I wanted her to be Waking up in the mornings is cool to, nobody wants to wake up dead! My life is actually very simple and very pleasant, and that makes me/us UBER happy!

It takes so little to keep my dogs happy:

"Mom's home!!!"
"Mom left for 5 minutes and came back!!!!"
"Yay, kibble!!!"
etc.

It's a daily reminder to me to make the most of life and enjoy myself.

Same with my boys. I come home and let them out of their cages and they seem really happy to see me. Add popsicles or candy to that mix and they almost act like they like me.

On Monday, I got to work and stood out for a while, since I lost my entrance ID. I saw two squirrels having their morning meal, completely undisturbed. It was really simple, but very beautiful to watch. The setting of my workplace made it even more alluring.

My kitteh and his buddy, Splatter, who hear me come in the outside door and are already milling around the inside door waiting for me -- take one look at me and SCREW up the stairs into my bedroom where they wait for me. Splatter cat jumps on my shoulder and now becomes Parrot cat cause she likes to hang there and look at what I'm looking at, while by big boy watches my hand and whatever I reach for - the head is there.

Even on a crummy day, they make me smile.

Looking at clouds.
Looking at trees, particularly live oaks. I could sit under one all day.
Playing video games with my brother(s), it's rare nowadays, but so much fun when it happens.
Taking a car slightly faster than I should, even in the mini van.
Flying a kite.
The sound of water hitting the bottom of a boat (my dad's 24 footer) while we're anchored; that lovely gently "plop..galop" type of sound as it resonates through the fiberglass.
Sitting in the recliner with my son. I loved it when he was a baby, I still love it now that he's 6 (but it rarely happens), and in December I'll be able to start it over again with a new baby boy.

Kababayan? Too cute, btw. My almost 3 year old playing w/ his Boba Fett squirt toy, having it drip on him, and him saying "Ewwwww, Boba Fett peed on me! Yuck!"

I hope my daughters can say that when they are older too! Or at least to their mom. You are truly blessed!

Siu... I'll have to PM you for your # again. My old phone died and I lost all my contacts. (note - don't get the 1st gen LG Chocolate phone!)
