Keyboard not detected...Press F1 to continue

Can anyone help? PS2 port is totally jacked up on a computer I'm working on. It won't boot without a KB. I can't get into the BIOS without a KB. It will not recognize a USb KB until it boots into Windows. I HAVE to get this fixed. Any ideas?

What OS? You can't plug a USB into the machine and reboot?

Glad to see you found success!

I did have to laugh at the irony of the post title though...Keyboard not detected...Press F1 to continue

Kind of like having Braille characters at the drive up ATM.

That has always cracked me up. I know that the things are interchangeable with the stand alone ATM's, but it still is kinda silly

windows has nothing to do with the USB keyboard not working BEFORE WINDOWS loads

its all about the BIOS.

Could be worse... you could be seeing that error on a laptop. Fixing that ain't fun, especially if its an older one where the keyboard and bezel are not on parts lists anymore.
