Yellow means you've got a virus. Your body will clear that up on its own. It's highly unlikely that there's any prescription med that will help. Take whatever you want to treat the symptoms, but don't get antibiotics. You don't need 'em.

^^^ absolutely. Never take antibiotics for a cold, and never pressure your doc into giving them to you. Joel, you are today's winner!

Time to make regular use of a neti pot. Get things flowing on their own.

Habanaro peppers. That should help dislodge everything.

Healthier than green snot, which currently isn't enough to qualify for antibiotics on its own. Thicker than white snot, which can be dealt with via tissue only.

Can get encrusted in the sinus passages, which calls for snorting of salt water to flush things out.

I agree with the habanero pepper story. Any truly spicy food will help flush out all colors of snot. Personally, I prefer Kung Pao with the dried red peppers floating around. There's no snot left after a truly spicy Kung-Pao dish.
