I did not vote.

I failed to register in time for the election. I slacked off the paperwork, and trying to get it in as a late registration didn't work. Pretty irresponsible of me, but that's why I'm taking care of it now to avoid the same problem for midterms and the next presidential election.

With that said, I endorse Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

I'm in the same boat but by the looks of it, my vote wasn't necessary.

At least in NY it doesn't seem to matter. Florida is another story. Could be safe, you never know.

If you'd have spent less time on your dating profile, you would have had time to register to vote.

I'm in Canada - we can register to vote right at the polling place (I always have to because I keep moving in between elections). You just bring your ID and something that has your current address on it so they know you are voting at the right place. We also have advance polling and mail-in voting for those (like students) who are away from their home riding at election time. It seems a lot simpler than the US system.

I am looking at cnn.com and I'm confused - they are calling the results, but when you mouse over the map it says things like "8% returned." How the heck can they tell? I am afraid something will still happen to screw this up. (By which I mean the Republicans doing something nefarious. Yes, I'm paranoid. I don't live very far from an undefended border).

Don't worry. This election is over.

And 8% of precincts is often enough to get well within the margin of error for the whole state.

What do you mean 'I didn't vote' . What's up with that? botto and I can't do it all by ourselves.

You got some splainin to do.

In the meantime, you can write your own inspirational tome entitled 'The Audacity of the Dope'.

I didn' t register in time either...although I did go down to the poll's and fill out an affidavit paper ballot...which not only got my vote in but also registered me, killing two birds with one stone.

with that said...I also supported Barack Obama but did it by actually putting in my vote

^^^ My neighbor did that. We were both at the polling spot and she wasn't registered. But she was able to vote this way.

They didn't tell you that, Crassic?
