ah jeez...

I'm applying for a job at Home Depot. Talk about feeling like I've not just taken a step down the ladder, I freakin bailed off of it...

Oh well. Any other ideas where I can work that allows me to not have to work with customers?

Working with customers is how I make a living.

Interpersonal skills are sought after; develop them.

The really sleazy strip shows have the dancers behind glass and the customers have to shove their "tips" through a hole.

Not completely removed from customers, but at least separated.

I hate people. I've had to deal with customers before and I hate it. I'm going to school and I don't want much responsibility in a job. I've had enough responsibility to last most people a lifetime and I don't want anymore. I want to move boxes around, and if someone asks me a question, I want to refer them to someone else.

Contact UPS, FedEX, etc. Try to get a job as a loader, washing/fueling trucks, etc.

No. Besides the fact that I won't join the military, I'm done working on planes. The stress level is right up there and the pay is lousy.

The store here in Napa has terrible terrible customer ratings so the managers make everyone from every department at a certain time of day stand in an aisle for a couple hours souly to engage customers. Not all stores do that though this one is just screwed up.

Work the night stocking crew at REI. I heard they are fantastic with their employees and you get employee discounts! I would LOVE to have a side job doing that.

Receiving department at a clothing store. Develop an effecient color-coded, alpha-numeric inventory system that only you can understand and then threaten to quit unless they triple your salary. You'll end up being able to dress and behave any way you want, and as an added bonus, they'll probably try to keep you as far away from everyone else as possible.

You have the skills and inclination for this kind of thing. I have faith in you, ua.

Where were you working? My brother is an aircraft mechanic, and he makes damn good money. He worked on private Cessna planes at the Cessna plant in Wichita, KS, and he now works for Werner on their private jets in Omaha, NE. Not that that probably helps you.
