Oh, Boy-that Chris.

Thanks to other B Fers from Oz..They finally ratted on Chris. He sure has the stories. Wonder how he doctored his pic's to convince us he really is a cyclist.
Sure goes to a lot of trouble to get some cyclists poser to convince us that he cycles.. How a limousine driver can think up all these bike related stories beats the hell out of me. Well, we all have our fantasies. Guess, he needs drive a limo. in order to fit all of himself into the front seat, since he is such a glutton. He should keep his daily quota of Passion Fruit under two gallons, I would think.
Probably that is where he picks up the idea of being some star cyclists. Fantasies from driving the rich and famous about the glitz of the beaches of Queensland... Hate to have to reveal this, but he seems such a fountain of knowledge of cycling information..Just want to protect the newbie cyclists, who think his contributions have some merit.. Chris..It never is too late to go out and buy a bike... you can live your dreams. Starter bikes are really pretty cheap.

well you can't say that things aren't interesting here.

Huffy? remember they provided bikes for 7-11 team so they aren't
all bad.

As far as I know ChrisL does actually own a bike, and I believe he
really rides it. . .

Even his pic looks like a limo driver.

Heah...Guys...Want to let you know, as Koffee will vouce for..I hassled Chris and others , early on the morn of 4/1...A joke as by now, all figured out...
Want to apologize..I was part of organized thuggery to hassle one another...We were supposed to send each participant messages confirming we were joksters...
As Koffee was told by me, I was hurridely, packing to fly back to Michigan for family issues...An all night packathon and rush to the airport...I very poorly read Koffee's instructions and failed to email one another as I rushed out the door to the airport...
Yeah, Chris's advatar...plenty of cause to think Chris an overweight limo driver...and I have seen limo's with bike racks attached in Barcelona, as I recall...Certainly Taxi's.
sorry I missed out on the fun as I was in mid air to Detroit. Saw some great roads for cycling there...Wish I could have hit the road....Saw a few cyclists passing through Hines Park..Looked fun. Liked to have been there.I had no extra time.... maybe some of us B/fers..?

That's quite a compliment when you think about it. I am 27 years old, I understand NZL is around 16. Guess I've held my age pretty well then.

Chris..Always like to know about the bikes we see...I see it has suspension...? What is this bike ? What goodies does it have... ?
Suspension on a touring bike. Good idea... Do you also have a road/race bike?
Where is this picture? Looks a little dry for your Tasmanian tour.?

It's actually my MTB that I hyped up for the tour -- put some tyres on that were a little less chunky. There were plenty of dirt roads that I took down there, additionally I use it for commuting on Queensland "roads" that our council seems so fond of digging up every five minutes, most of which are worse than the dirt roads in Tasmania. The front suspension is very easy on my hands and wrists over long rides (I've had problems in the past). Even better on a tour where you're riding everyday.

I've thought about getting one, but my comment on Queensland "roads" above is a dis-incentive. Still, I'm planning a move to Europe in a few years time. Perhaps I'll look at one then.

Picture is overlooking Queenstown, from the climb of Mt Lyell. Queenstown is actually one of the wettest towns in Australia (I'm told it rains on an average of 300+ days a year, their football team plays on gravel because it rains too much to grow grass during the season). Those hills around it were once covered in rainforest, but a copper smelter established in about 1895 killed all the trees and left the hills totally bare. There's actually been a little bit of regrowth since it closed, which I'm told is actually upsetting the locals. The "moonscape" is actually a tourist attraction.

You can see more pictures of this "unique" part of the world here:

Day 22: Where did all the trees go?
