One Christmas fact we all need to remember... If our gifts are not ready by the 24th, we are not getting any.

She just took a sizable reduction in pay, bonus structure was eliminated. My job is tenuous at best right now, and a job/career change is imminent. No spousal gifts at casa de jsharr this year.

The kids are still getting gifts.

they do not make Bs small enough for my D. It would be like giving her a grain of rice in a grain elevator.

Hey, thanks. I was just thinking to myself, "self, I need a reminder that I no longer am dating the girl I love. Gosh, if only someone would come along this Christmas season and help me out."

Lemme see... I'm getting my wife a painting that she has been eyeballing. Not sure what to get the girlfriend yet though.

Which means you don't have to buy in to all the hype!

Man, Xmas is always one of the lonliest times of the year for me. I can't stand it. The best way to beat it is to do community service.

Sadly, I can't stand Xmas related community service, so I just do more art.

EDIT: This post was originally meant to be a "Hey, here's how you can do better" post...but I can't get past my own seasonal hang ups to help, sorry.

Ironically I just picked up a slew of attractive gift boxes in a variety of sizes....and I have no use for the smallest one.

It's handmade, brown with a gold heart....sounds like it might work?

jsharr is lying.

He might fool her once with a grain of rice, but he has two boys. The boy is hung.

www.naturOli.com can provide you with excellent, natual, personal care items at a darn reasonable price - I took care of the brothers' ladies (4 of em) for @ $25 a piece, but the wrapping & boxing they use?? makes it look like I spent a fortune!

Just got the bf a new pair of sunglasses, and will probably get him that brian mcknight songbook he's been eyeing. He wants a set of practice congas but I say no more instruments or else when we move in together there will be space for nothing else.

I think my gf wants a Hermes scarf.
She isn't normally into this kind of bling.
It is a long story and the price of a decent
frame.

Sigh. . . .

On the Hermes.com website, it lists a scarf at $375. That's expensive, but... I bought my first Hermes scarf oh...20 years ago? It is still beautiful. Also, if she doesn't like the design you've picked out, any Hermes boutique will exchange the scarf at no charge, without a receipt.

But here's the thing - I bought my first scarf at the Hermes boutique, 24 Rue Faubourg, Paris. I highly recommend that she buy her first Hermes scarf on a visit to Paris. In that case, it's a souvenir of a magical city; otherwise it's just another expensive accessory.

Of course, the downside to that line of argument is that y'all might have to go to Paris. But is that such a bad thing?
