Pudgey (I love his name) looks like he's gonna shred you when you are asleep.

He's quite a doll!

Nah...he's the coolest cat I've ever owned. The first time I had him shaved he was funny as heck. He ran all over the place like he was a kitten. My other cat flipped out and didn't recognize him all shaved and bathed. Hissed at him like a new cat came to roost in his home...

Dang, I was expecting to see a "Telly Savalas" number, like Mr. Bigglesworth

We had a pair of Maine Coons for 18 years. Never thought about giving them a trim though...

Aaah. You caught me. Thought you were talking about something else. Eva Gabore onced asked Johnny Carson if he wanted to pet her *****. He said she'd have to move the cat off her lap first.

Skin condition or an injury. Mostly people shave them for looks. It hurts the cats' feelings.

My wife and I had a long haired calico cat a few years ago. She would get into stuff outside and her fur would get knotted up. Thus a shave would be in order.

This is why I shave my lil' dude. He won't let you run a brush on him so when he starts to get knots and **** in his hair it's time for a shave. Funny thing is the groomers say he just lays there when they shave him. Little prick won't let you brush him but it's cool to take a buzzing shaver to his *****...go figure

Snopes is awesome. I wish my family would use it more when sending forwards. I used to reply with the link debunking the forward, but now I don't even bother.

I picked up a kitten beside a highway three years ago, and he's grown into a very large longhaired cat. Trouble is one of his back legs was badly injured and it seems to interfere with his self-grooming. He got all kinds of mats in his fur and had to be shaved. The vet called and said he was trying to bite the person with the shaver lol. I authorized him to be tranked and it was ok after that. They said after he woke up he was the sweetest cat they'd ever seen.

Had to have a lion cut. Head was still furry while the rest of him was quite bare.
