Do men have biological clocks?

Discuss...if you have the balls (or the ovaries)

Yes. Instead of going "tick, tick, tick", it goes "sex, sex, sex." (And ticks twelve times a second.)

From my experience on internet dating sites, I'd say yes. I see a lot of profiles for guys in their 40's with "looking for someone who definitely want kids" in their disclaimers.

I guess living in the house with your own teen-agers is a certain cure for that.

What a relief. I was afraid you'd left a profound post about men's biological clocks.

The trick is to not like kids, so that it doesn't bother you quite as much.

Then convince yourself that inevitably dying alone is something to look forward to!

Yeah, I've definitely seen it in a few guys I know.. looking forward to settling down and making some babies (as opposed to just practicing)

Good grief - you're only 30 years old! Tony Randall didn't have kids until he was in his 70's (his wife was 50 years younger though).

I'm super picky. Well, I like to practice to make babies with anyone, but actually settling down is something I want, but I'm smart enough to realize that not just anyone will do.

Once cloning and genetic engineering becomes more stable, you can make a clone of yourself, and fix the chromosomes just so...

That's just good old mid life crisis. We can always go back and get that camaro or corvette or porsche or whatever no matter how old we are. Making babies is another matter.

Nope. We just have hair grow out of our ears. We go gray or worse bald. Prostate exams and sleeping through the night become journies to adventure. Sadly, we start to look distinguished!

On the other hand the ability to sire offspring is generally still available to you if you so choose. It just takes a bit longer and sometimes requires the efforts of modern pharmaceuticals.
