Some titles are better than others. We watched Wall-E the other night and it was outstanding. I also rented Journey to the center of the earth and picture was pixilated in all of the dark scenes. Full Metal Jacket is a must see on Blu Ray. They did a really nice job on the audio track. for an older movie

I should get a Blu-Ray player for my computer. It's the only one in the house that has the hardware to play Blu-Rays. Aside from the drive, of course.

BTW: Who wants a 4 month old SATA DVD burner?

I've had a blu ray player for a year. Paid $250 12 months ago, which still doesn't seem like a crazy price considering I've used it all through 2008. Some titles are truly stunning, particularly animated films. I watch it on a 40" set, very cool.

    What's playing tomorrow?

BTW: I would bring the beer, but I'm too young to buy it.

well, the roommate I lived with last year had blueray and we had a 63 inch hd tv. I am the only person of our group of friends that is not impressed by this at all. Honestly, if a movie sucks, its going to suck if it looks good or not.

I just have not gotten tied up into this whole HD/blueray craze. I think it is all kind of a pointless :-P sorry!

I don't think anyone is disagreeing with you. But if it is a good movie why wouldn't you want a higher quality reproduction?

Blu-Ray. I just wonder what's next on the offering. Do you remember the time when DVD came out? Same reaction, now it's "meh".

My response would have been something along the lines of: "Does your bike have computer controlled suspension? Then shut your piehole, this baby is from the future!"

Got you beat on the PS 3 by $20.00 I also have a 37" Sharp Aquos, it was the biggest LCD one could get at the time I havn't changed up as it still looks fantastic and I cant see replacing something that still works beautifully I truly don't think I would have/will go any bigger even if I could as it fits my small living room perfectly
