Doncha love when this happens??

nearly two years ago I went over my to friend's home to overdub some guitar on an album he was producing. Brought my guitar in to work so I could just go straight there at quitting time. My gig bag is really cheesy and has these thin shoulder strappados so i grabbed two cushiony pads from my messenger bags and put them on to ease my suffering.

I realized while walking the pads were making it worse so at some point point during the day I took them off.

a few weeks later I realized the pads were missing ... I asked my friend if I left them at his house...no good. I checked my office fifteen billion times (i had lots of closets and drawers at that gig so you never know)...no soap. Tore the apt. apart....nothing. I just knew I left them on the subway seat as I ran out in a hurry....I always forget which stop it is going over there so I usually wind up needing to bolt out the doors in a split second of stupidity.

I realize people do this stuff all the time but i am usually so anal retentive I never really do. I don't exactly pride myself on being so OCD but at least never losing stuff is a perk...

Today my wife was dragging xmas ornaments out of the closet and what does she find buried WAY under everything? two timbuk 2 shoulder strap pads.

I did the trip in January '07 so we probably were just putting the holiday stuff away, and they somehow got mixed in....

anyhoo, nice to have them back
