Size ten shoes...

This may not be allowed here (move to PR?) but I like the size ten shoe that went sailing at a certain lame duck president sunday, along with the phrase "dog". This journalist HTFU and stood for something...I applaude.

My size 6.5 shoes would have hurt less if either had struck Bush.

You have to admit Bush took it quite well, and ducked like a pro. Makes me wonder if he ducks a lot of thrown stuff at home?

1. i don't care for the man, but i'm not thrilled that something like that can happen to the POTUS.

2. the reporter abused his power as a journalist.

3. why are you posting this in foo, when you know damn well that it's going to be moved to P&R?

Bush took it with huge scoop of humour. When Chretien was PM here in Canada someone struck him in the face with a cream pie. He was deeply, deeply angry. If I recall he struck someone in a crowd when the person rushed at him.

But Bush did it with grace considering a shoe in the face can hurt and is rather undignified. He commented that he thought it was the journalist's right to free speech.
