People from New England

How is the ice up there? Do you have power?

I've lived in Maine all my life so far. I don't know how thick the ice is right now. However, electricity has been restored to most places since a recent power failure in various parts of Maine. Where in New England are you headed, Phantomcow2 ?

My mom emailed me from MA to say she's walking the dog in shorts and a t-shirt. The 1st day the temp dipped into the 20s for me. And then the teens!

Today in Portland (ME) it's cold enough to freeze your arse off outside with snow coming over the next few days. I'm hibernating.

Snow in the forecast for Wed. more ice for southern NH where they don't need it. Another Snow storm for Friday.

"Public Service Co. of New Hampshire said that about 90,000 of its customers remained without power Tuesday. "

There is a twitter site being updated by the electric utility company for southern NH...

http://twitter.com/psnh

They just started publishing a PDF today with target dates for some communities for 95% power restoration. Before today they were just telling people to hold on and plan for several days. For some communities, that is still all they are saying.
