The Humbug Club...

hum∑bug (hmbg)
n.
1. Something intended to deceive; a hoax or fraud.
2. A person who claims to be other than what he or she is; an impostor.
3. Nonsense; rubbish.
4. Pretense; deception.

See, all this Christmas crap is just humbug...

Anyone else feeling this way? Anyone else feeling like locking themselves away until this horrible season is over?

I did so last year. Loved it. On xmas night, I ate dinner at a Denny's 650 miles from home. It was great.

Also, "Humbug" is the name of an especially excellent episode of The X-Files.

The only good thing about tomorrow is everything is closed and everyone is at home so that means I can bike anywhere. I still need to hurry up and think of everywhere I want to go.

I thought about that, but then I remembered I live in Tennessee, where everyone drives constantly no matter what. Tomorrow they'll all be out going to and from the few restaurants that are open.

The roads were relatively empty tonight, which I loved

this morning a yellow cab tried to kill me at 55th street, a limo tried to kill me at 49th street and I screamed at them and I just dialed it up to 400watts (or my version of it, anyway) .....at 43rd street as I raced for the next light a cabbie pulled alongside me, smiled and said something through the stinging rain like "daim! You the man, m-----f-----er!!!!"

Thank you for the xmas gift, wherever you are, o' wild driver of the yellow minivan taxi

I was gonna get the bike I just bought and go riding tomorrow for the same reason that Fuzzbox said but I get a call to be at my sister's house instead. Everyone is gonna meet there for the festivities. If there would at least be some available wimmins there, it wouldn't be so bad.

At least it's not gonna be like last year at my brother's house. Alot of friends and alot of family from his wife's side came over. They are all from Tennessee and those Tennessee folks are something else. We did a White Christmas which soon became an indian wrastle Christmas! One woman who worked with my brother had some lottery tickets and stuffed them down her blouse. This guy fom the Tennessee family examined all our gifts, walked up to the woman, reached down her blouse and took the tickets! I did get a real nice pocket knife that time.

I don't really care if there are people, I just hope there won't be any coppers around. Time to hit up some banks.

Most of the banks here have something that is bike worthy but it is unbikeable during hours.
