Wrapping gifts suck.

Today I volunteered at my local mall for gift wrapping. All the proceeds went to an epilepsy charity. I had to wrap presents for EIGHT hours, with a 5 minute break somewhere in between. I have never wrapped a gift before because I would always get someone else to do it. I did this one ladies, and she was like, "Yeah, redo this one, its horrible". She didn't know I'm the one who wrapped it. IT was a good learning experience, but i really hate gift wrapping.

Who else hates gift wrapping?

This is what gift bags were made for.

god yes. I just had to quick sneaky wrap the last few gifts in the bedroom.....i am hopeless at it.

Last year I used all different varieties of those little Chinese food take-out containers. This year I used a slew of handmade nesting boxes I bought at a local crafts store.

Atleast you use boxes...
Some guys came to us with 2 of those car snow wiping things and told us to wrap it. It was the weirdest thing to wrap ever.

I enjoy wrapping, it's a peaceful activity. It's fun to try hard and get all the lines to be straight and smooth.

My brother and I were having this discussion earlier as we wrapped gifts. 1) it was on his wife's bed, where she set up the supplied. we concluded, in our experience, that women inexplicably find a soft, squishy surface is somehow good for wrapping gifts, when a hard, smooth tabletop is infinitely superior. 2) i exclaimed, after half an hour of producing awkwardly-wrapped gifts, that sending the men to wrap gifts on a bed was like sending the women out to chop wood. men just werent equipped for gift wrapping.

I love to wrap gifts, so long as I have a great supply of paper, ribbons, and other do-dads to make things look cool - who cares if there's only a $5 gift underneath?!?

That's like saying 'that rack torture thing sucks' when it's really the Spanish Inquisition that sucks. The entire Holiday Season friggin sucks. What's your point?
