The wife - as always - got me so many good things I really needed badly. Lots of bike swag this year which is wonderful as I am trying to keep riding all winter for the first time ever.

a groovy tee for spreading the commuter message

and one that tells the world what I am (as if there was any doubt - note new blinkie with gravity-induced swivel helmet mount....)

I asked for - and got - not one but two pairs of these awesome wool 3/4 tights (w/chamois) from Ibex....I have not tried them on the bike yet but the fabric is unreal and they fit perfectly...I is one happy goat this AM.

Hope you all got something to make you smile.....the best gift for me was waking up happy and healthy with the one I love.

I like yer tshirt, pgoat.

Pink ipod! Looks great WP.

I haven't gotten anything yet. The husband and I don't bother swapping gifts since we give each other stuff all the time anyways. I will be showered in presents from my best friend and my mom later today and Saturday. If there is anything I want I think it's a Nintendo DS and a couple of games (my mom can read my mind so I have a sneaking suspicion this is my gift).

will do. I believe the front of the knees are reinforced for wind blockage

In my experience wool is great cause of warmth/breathability. I predict awesomeness.

btw wolfie, that is my '86 trek. Looking forward to seeing your latest bike all built up...you've got an awesome stable going, girl!

yes, i do like the wool stuff jyo talked me into getting. finally. no, i take that back. i my wool stuff!!! i might have to get some wool tights anyways...we do have enough cold-ish days where they could be worn.

will get pics of the bike once i can get to the LBS and get my parts....i'm told this guy has a lot of old stuff that either gets thrown away ( ) or can be had on the cheap. seatpost, chain, brake are biggest items needed right now. hopefully, it'll be ready to ride by next weekend...

This puppy

Well, I got it myself as I will be spending this Christmas all alone, working at home, not doing anything fun at all Expat Christmas with no opportunity to go back to the Heimat....No fun.

Anyway, it is productive, so all that work I'll be getting done for the good of the world will be my gift to all of you. In 10 years or so, when food production is up, the weather forecasts are better and the military is even more efficient in killing people ( yes, everything we do can be used to kill people ), thank me for spending my Christmas to make that happen

I woke up with warm fuzzies. I feel better than I've felt in a looooong time. I'm not sure who to thank for that present, but whoever it is, they deserve a cookie.
