Only a commie form of life in the sea who generates their own light would ask something like that.

The ocean is a fantastic place. There are some amazing critters down there. I keep salt water aquariums. I have clown fish that talk. Yes, they beg for their dinner. There are 30 foot worms. I had a 3 foot worm in one of my tanks that I didn't even know about until I tore it down. There are crustaceans that have 16 different types of photoreceptors, 12 of which are for color. By comparison we have 3 cones. This animal sees colors and spectrums we can't. They've also been known to flourece.

And I went swimming with some of them...its a trip to see the water light up all around you. They are dinaflagelates that live in a few places on the planet. Puerto Rico is one such place, in a couple of bays around the island.

I've seen little lights on Cape Cod Bay. We were in an aluminum canoe, on very flat water. The little green critters were floating on the surface all around us, save for about a 1 foot blank area precisely outlining the waterline of the boat. I'm guessing there was some electric energy emitted by the boat that the critters were not fond of. Tiny little green lights, just floating on the surface. Quite beautiful.

On the contrary, the History Channel is on the Unidentified Submerged Object bandwagon.
