Cool new toy..Give it a name....

I got this cool "stereo system" that plays records, cassettes and cd's. But I can't come up with a good name for it, stereo system just doesn't work because stereo system makes it sound like it sounds good.

The neat thing about this is it will record a L.P. or cassette onto a cd. I have been recording records for the last few days and last night I recorded Johnny Horton's and Hank Williams's best hits onto one cd. It is so cool hearing Sink The Bismark and Your Cheating Heart on the same cd.

I'm looking forward to three full records of old time bluegrass on one cd. And, the popping and crackeling just add to the flavor of the music.

Christine, after the car in Stephen King's novel/movie. All she would play was oldies.

Funny! You guys are just so funny, NOT.

I'm kind of old and I find myself disparaging the new music. But Thanks for the effort.

How about naming it Janice, for Janice Joplin, who could wail the blues with the best of them or blast out raunchy rock and roll without a microphone at a live venue?

Very close and it does the same thing. I found a Roy Clark record where he is playing the blues, not my cup of tea. I can tolerate some blues or jazz but not much. It has to be really really good stuff.

I may call it Marty, after my favorite country star Marty Robbins. None of that Garth Brooks throw-up, hurl vomit crap.

Anyway, I love my toy and look forward to many many hours of recording and listening to some good music.

Found a lp with Maybelle Carter playing the Auto Harp, cool stuff.
