Last Supper of 2008

We're still preparing ours, however here's what's on tap for tonights meal:

Bottle of Wolf Blass, Yellow Label Cabernet Sauvignon - 2007. Polishing off a goblet full before supper.

2 Tenderloin Steaks (1 1/2" thick). $13 each ... ouch. Better not screw them up

Home made garlic bread.

Green Beans.

Sweet Potatos with butter, brown sugar and chili powder all mashed in. Delicious!

Dessert - Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia Ice Cream with Saucy Sangria Drizzle (Amazingly Delicious!)

How about all you guys???

I am proud to say that a wonderful woman that I just started dating is preparing a traditional meal for the two of us tonight. We will be dining at my house, opening a bottle of wine, and taking pictures to bring in the new year in a quiet, intimate, romantic, and joyous setting.

Fresh rice and hot sausage.

Just a bit to tide me over until we visit friends in about 2 hours.

Just had a cheeseburger...not in the mood to cook a big meal tonight and the wife was not very hungry thanks to an obnoxious employee at her store.

Good luck!

Don't be nervous, just be yourself. She can't ask for a better date on New Year's Eve...

Campbells Chunky Beef-Veggie soup, two bread rolls, orange juice mixed with egg nog*

*Everything but the egg nog was brought home from work today. Only 5 of our 30-person department showed up for work today, so we all brought in something for an e-x-t-e-n-d-e-d New Years Eve potluck-brunch (no work got done today). Admin decided to close down at 1PM (yeah!), and no-one else wanted to take home the left-overs.

No party tonight. Gonna get a good night's sleep so I can get up and take a nice long bike ride to start 2009 (Southern California).

Happy New Year!

I flew home from SF this afternoon so my daughter ordered pizza for us. I had shrimp with pesto (untraditional but good). I am now sipping champagne since I probably won't make it to midnight.
