So, did your boss hook you up?

My boss gave me a US$20 Dick's Sporting Goods gift card, real thoughtful like. I was psyched and appreciative...went towards a new short sleeve jersey. We got together and got him a substantial amount of lotto tix.

You give or score anything?

I agree with trsidn, my boss gave me a job, paycheck, and health insurance. Good enough for me.

My boss is awesome. I worked full time over the summer and part time (mostly on Saturdays) during school. He gave me a $200 bonus when I started school and a $250 bonus for Christmas. And not only that, but I can set my own hours, take lunch when I want to, and watch movies while I work. He is the best boss I have had so far.

I actually got a cycling-related gift--a newly-released cycling guide for Knoxville.

Cycling gifts are a good choice.

Years ago, when the economy was doing well, my main asbestos company would give out the full timers checks for thousands of dollars. The idea was that if the workers earned it, and the company didn't need it to stay afloat, they should keep it. Of course, now that the economy sucks, that's gone.

I am one of the few attorneys I know who doesn't get an annual performance bonus and/or Xmas bonus...

but I work for nice people, I work sane hours, and I have the time to pursue my beloved hobbies, including cycling.

A Xmas bonus -- even a small one -- would really help, but overall I can't complain.

I think everyone at my mom's firm got at least 5K. But she works ridiculous hours.

Yeah, I probably shouldn't make this part of the public record (and will probably delete later), but most weeks I get by on 40 hours. Not billable hours, 40 clock hours.
