Currently:

-Dirt Rag

-Mountain Bike
-Bike
-Hyphen
-Filipinas
-Best Life, read a comp issue, it was okay.
-National Geographic Traveler, found this recently, way cool

What's been interesting on your side?

None at the moment. I used to read all sorts of computer mags, Linux ones mostly. Computer Shopper was a must have subscription back in the day. Now I get all info I need on the internets.

I used to read:
Popular Science (probably longest subscription)
Omni
Rolling Stone
Archeology
Biblical Archeology
Playboy (great articles)

I liked Popular Science way back when. Omni, too. That was a good read.

Archeology, that's gotta be cool.

I read Rolling Stone & Spin, back in the day, just aren't the same, I think. Kinda a letdown.

Foreign Affairs & Intelligence Report, too.

Journal of the American Chemical Society
Angewandte Chemie, International Edition
Nature
Science

Organic Letters
Chemical Communications
Tetrahedron Letters
Chemistry Letters

Journal of Organic Chemistry
Chemistry, a European Journal
Chemistry, an Asian Journal

Synthesis
Synlett

There's some more that I really should read (notably Journal of Antibiotics), but I'm too lazy. Some of them might get added soon, though. It doesn't help that we don't get J. Antibiot. online at my institute. This list is a work in progress, and one of my goals for 2009 is to have a systematic approach to covering this list of literature reading, and I plan to put together a reading schedule by the end of the week.

Omni is still being published?!? I left it for dead almost 20 years ago.

jschen - haven't you heard? All work and no play makes Jack a raving lunatic from a Steven King novel.

ok, so I'm exaggerating, but there is more to life than chemistry.

I think that is a "used to". I had it for several years. I also remember they tried to name it "Nova". PBS sued and won.

As much as I have to read on the job, I don't commit myself to any regular reading outside of work. That doesn't mean no play... just no reading schedule.
