Wife ordered me to find an appropiate bra and I need help

I need some help from the females around here.

Wifey started attending an aerobics class and needs a bra that could hold the stuff in place. Cycling is not the sport but if it works for biking it should work for the aerobics, she said. Then she pointed at the computer and told me to log in and find out.

I know I could google but any recommendations about field tested apparel will be appreciated.

Champion makes good supportive bras. They are sold at sporting goods stores.

She "pointed" and "told" you to find out about a bra for her? And you're posting this for all to read?

Champion, Sugoi, any of the regular brands. There's usually a pretty good selection is places like REI or Mountain Equipment. Many come in small, medium or large, so look at her sweater size to get sizing clues.

"A sports bra designed to flatter, not flatten."

I was under the impression that was the point of sports bras. To flatten and keep stuff from moving around.

I have heard good things about Title Nine.

Sounds like the aerobics class is a great thing!

I have tried this danskin sports bra--works well for me for low to medium impact activities like dancing/going to gym/cycling on smooth roads. The thick padding annoys me sometimes, but it helps with the dreaded boob jiggle. I also have tried this champion bra, which is really awesome--works well for high impact exercises like jogging/jumping about/cycling on bad roads.

YMMV though, it really depends on how she is built. I'm a happily small-ish size but my boobs hurt when they jiggle, so I need a lot of support. Choose her sports bra depending on her size and how much it hurts when her boobs bounce about.

Gee, these things average about $40 bucks a piece. I hope she doesn't quit the aerobics class after a month...

Welcome to Women's sportswear. I'm betting men's 'supportive garments' don't cost $40.

The danskin one I mentioned is $10 from evil-mart (clicky the linky in my previous post). Real cheap, but if your wife is around my size (32C) it may work really well for her. If it doesn't, you're only out $10. But then again, comfy boobies are happy boobies so I would really not mind paying $40-ish for a sports bra.

Just walk around cupping the sports bras in your local "ladies Dept" with your hands, youll either find the perfect one or end up on the local news as a perv!

Depends on how busty she is. I can wear pretty much anything, including $10 WalMart cheap-o's (though I really like Adidas and GoLite bras, since WalMart cheap-o's tend to be made out of cotton and get soaked), but I wear an A-cup. I have a friend who's a D, and she gravitates toward Moving Comfort, because otherwise she has to double up.

It's worse than you think: What supportive garments?

(Of course, there are "protective garments", but go there we shan't.)
