Hearing Voices?

I don't know if anyone has read the recent article about high caffeine intake and seeing visions.....

.....anyway, what really took me back was this exerpt from the article

Quote:
They also stress that experiencing hallucinations is not a definite sign of mental illness and that about 3% of people regularly hear voices.
3% of people are hearing voices?

No wonder mass transit is so unpopular.

So fess up Foosters, who is hearing voices ? And what are they saying to you?

From the Article: (emphasis added)
People who drank more than seven cups of instant coffee a day were three times more likely to hallucinate than those who took just one, a study found.

You've got worse mental issues to be concerned with than hearing voices if you're intentionally knocking back 7 cups of narsty-arse instant coffee a day.

so your hypothesis is that these individuals with the hardcore instant coffee habit are already +/- 90% more likely to be hearing voices than the general population?

I would agree

Never heard voices that I'm aware of. I may drink one or two 12oz. cans of soda a day. No coffee for me! I think it's grody.

You need to learn to speak fly. Those guys just sit on the wall and see EVERYTHING. They have the BEST gossip.

All jokes aside. I use to write stuff down that popped into my head. Had a running tab on it just for kicks. Weird s*** pops in my head once in a while. Sentences that have absolutely no meaning or connection to what I'm currently doing.

Like: I'd be working on a project, then, clear as a bell, "The guitarist wears fishnet tights."
I'd be like, WTF? OK. Where's my pad. I need to write this one down.

We should have a CTRL-V thread for some of this stuff.

Theortically, would the stuff we post in the CTRLV brain toaster thread be admissable in court?

I think that would depend on whether or not you've taken your meds this morning.
