Laphroaig! Good choice! I can only drink a bit as it's like putting my mouth over a Highland chimney!

It's a good one, hard to beat for $25-$30.

I'm working on the 12 year right now. It's a little light, but quite smooth.

Nice! Sounds like I'll have to try it.

Ok gentlepeople, I have one of my favorites. Distilled in the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, of the northern coast of Scotland. A strong peat nose and a beautiful peat finish. This is a very smooth drink for only being 10 years old. Mmm mmm mmm. Drink up!

I find that the older a whiskey is, the less I tend to like it. I like the sharpness of some of the younger ones.

Duesenbergs are nice, but I'd store it in a hollowed-out panda that's been stuffed into a hollowed-out Duesy if I were you.

My current favourite. I am an official Friend of Laphroaig.

Currently all I have though is a 12 year old Glenfiddich.

Well, of course. I wouldn't store glass bottles in a steel enclosure without sufficient padding.

It's a much smoother, less smokey, but still very complex scotch.

Whoot!... It's cheaper to buy whisky than airplane tickets to meet the cool fooster guys.

I have found a good method of trying different whiskies without spending a huge fortune. Buy miniatures. I have a collection of (empties) of the different ones I've tried. I have Laphroaig 10 year; The BenRiach 10 year; Bunnahabhain; Tobermory; Sheep Dip; and an interesting blend called Gordon Graham's Black Bottle by Matthew Gloag & Son.

I like the Islay, Mull and other island whiskies.
