What is Foo?

What does it mean to you? Is it a collection of nonsense to help you get through another boring day at work? Is it being able to ask an off-topic question without having to find another forum? Is it something more? Do you miss the Foo antics when you're gone, or do foosters never cross your mind when you're away from Foo?

For me, Foo is a place to hang out with friends, some of whom I've met, some of whom I've yet to meet. It's a place I'm not judged by my last 40k time, or by the kind of parts I put on my bike, or what I drive or wear or think or am. It's a place where I can be sad and now that someone will come rescue me from myself. It's a place where I can laugh, sometimes at me, sometimes at someone else. It's a place where so many people open up and actually care.

So, what's Foo to you?

Hard to put it into words, but FOO doesn't exist in my mind once I leave my web browser.

It's just another off-topic forum, but more active than most without being overwhelming.
