    Odd, eh?

Even stranger than the ones who post once in Introductions, and never return....

I could see it if they registered so they could see the photos, but most of these people have never come back!

It is really hard to make out all 54742 faces in that random picture. I even put on reading glasses, to no avail.

Aye - maybe they're put off by the warm, friendly and helpful demeanour of active BF posters.

So you're saying that, completely at random, you came up with a picture that just happens to mean to display a random pattern?

That is so beyond the realm of plausibility that... well, it just is.

I printed that picture and used it to smooth out some scratches in fine woodwork.

Fair enough - sorry I deleted it so soon but, even for me, it sounded slightly stupid.

My guess is they're from "search engine optimisation" companies, trying to drive up the google ranking of different sites by signing up a profile on a bunch of forums and adding the site to the profile's homepage, in the hope that being linked from somewhere popular like bikeforums will make the site they're promoting look better to google's pagerank algorithm.
