Slumdog Millionaire

Best Picture of the Year. Hands down. No question.

Just sayin'. We saw it last night. Engaging, moving, entertaining, why you go to movies. I really loved B. Button, but it wasn't as good as Slumdog. Great cast, the lead actors are instant stars. Even the closing credits are entertaining, everybody stayed until the screen went black.

someone needs to warn about the scene where they disfigure the children, and remove their eye-balls... I have not seen it, but a friend of mine and his gf did, and they had to leave. And even then, it gave one of them nightmares. true story.

So after not going to the movies for like 6 months, I've seen Slumdog, Button, Marley and Valkyrie all in two weeks. I'd rate them:

1.) Slumdog
2.) Button (really liked that)
3.) Valkyrie (really liked that too, Cruise is outstanding)
4.) Marley (really liked J. Anniston's hooters for 2 hours)

So that's four movies in a row that I really enjoyed. Still want to see The Wrestler, Defiance, Gran Torino, Milk, but I probably won't get to all of them. That's why there's DVD.

Apaloosa tonight on Blu-Ray. Two of my favorite actors, V. Mortenson and E. Harris.

Then no offense to your friends, but they are weak sauce. That scene was hardly graphic.

Yes, that scene with the kid getting blinded wasn't graphic at all, all implied. While it was horrific to be sure, no visual depiction of blood and gore that I could see.
