Projectiles that have impacted you?

So what you got? What projectiles have impacted you before?

Baseballs? Falling rocks? Bullets? Egads!

Bullets have impacted me, but not in the manner to which I assume you are referring. Actually, it's more like the act of shooting bullets which has impacted me. It's a heck of a lot of fun!

And the man (well, 13 year old) that committed said act:

Paul and I were walking on the patio with our rifles, and the safety on his slipped. The ricochet got me in the shin.
I've done much worse to myself in bike wrecks.
Cost me a few stitches but it's one of those things I've been able to hold over his head for thirty years.

While at work, a 2lb bag of flour, they hit. Fortunately the water balloon that followed, missed.

One spooky night
When the moon was green
Over the hill came a turd machine
A shot was fired
A scream was heard
A lady got hit by a flying turd!

A 7.62 mm bullet fired out of an AK47 when I was working in Africa, in the left leg. It penetrated the truck door in Southern Zaire and broke both my Tibia and Fibula.

Didn't happen to me but gotta share. A friend was hit in the head by a head of cabbage thrown from a moving car. It knocked him out.

I've been hit by lots of things, but the worst was probably a broken pencil to the eye. While cycling I've had a water balloon thrown at me (they missed) and I was hit by what I think was a banana. I've also been hit by what I think was either a bat, a bird, or a VERY big insect.

A drinking glass was thrown at me. It missed, but it hit a hard object right next to me, and a piece of broken glass cut me in the leg and the scar was visible for many years.

.45 cal musket ball....it hit a rock or something, and then hit me in the chest on the rebound. Knocked the breath out of...but never pierced skin.

A few cars, and a tree almost fell on me once.

One time on a bicycle, a bee flew right into the tip of my nose and bounced off without stinging. The one that flew down my shirt on a narrow, twisty mountain road while on a motorcycle, however, managed to sting me three times before I found a spot to pull over. Bleh.

I once caught a flying brick with my head. Left me with a pretty dorky haircut for a couple of weeks and a neat little scar. My brother, having launched said brick loves telling the story.
