    Question for the girls

Why do you always tell a guy your busy when you don't want to give them a chance.
I've asked several girls out these psat two weeks, they all said I'm busy, after hesitating.
One girl said yes the day before my last day of school, we were supposed to talk the next day, so after college (I'm in college now because I'm in a chemical engineering academy) on the next school day, I went back to the high school to talk to her, she said she was busy.

I don't get why, the least they would get is a free dinner and movie. I'm funny, smart, in good health, not overweight. I'm getting tired of all these chicks turning me down for no apparent reason

If you are comfortable asking them out, they have to be comfortable saying no. And saying they are busy means no.

There has to be ONE girl in HS who is a firend of yours who will give you the honest assessment
of how you come across -- physically, emotionally, personality-wise. Ask her and run with that...

I don't really have any good friends who are girls.

and now that I don't technically go to the school anymore (well, technically, I don't know how to word it, not early grad, but I'm in college as part of my HS courses)
If I go back just for that, I'll look really desperate, and I don't want to, because that doesn't look good

Never. Date. High School. Girls. I can't make it any clearer. Buck up, pretend you're 18 or 19 or whatever and start hitting on those hottie college girls.

Send a short video clip of you asking out some girl, even if it's an act, here to Foo.

I think it's possible they will give you an "honest" assessment.

Well, these could part of your problem right there, especially the latter- I've never known a person of the female persuasion who appreciated being called a "chick." But seriously, focus on your new surroundings. You're over HS now, even if you are officially registered there, college boy. Get busy!

Who are you asking out? In other words, what kind of woman interests you?

So, have you asked any quiet, modest girls out? The ones you probably don't notice at all?

The dinner and a movie may be part of the problem. Maybe they feel they don't know you well enough to give you that big a time commitment. When you find a girl that you can converse with and you seem to get along, ask them if they want to grab a snack or get some coffee right then and there. If they are willing, and things go well, then ask her to dinner and a movie. Or better yet, try something unusual - dinner and a movie are so cliche.

Says the guy who has so many dates he can't keep them straight. (Sorry UA )

Just be yourself. Some of the girls might be intimidated by the fact that you are already taking college courses. You might try to find a group event to go to first and get to know the girls that way before you ask them out.

I always get in trouble when I say this but I think you are too nice. I don't even know you but if you aren't getting dates in High School and you don't know why, it is always because you are too nice.

I do not mean this as a joke: if I were you I would specifically target the car-haters and non-Christians.

I'd say that's part of the problem, too.

Socks before shoes. Socks being your report with the girl, shoes being dates and relationships.

Start with easy conversation. Find something in common to talk about, then leave the conversation wanting more (if you're wanting more, so is she). When you leave the conversation, ask her to coffee or something similar. Don't be afraid of the friend zone. You need to learn how to strike up a conversation before you can do anything else.

You have got to relax. Smile and be confident and get the idea out of your had that you need a date. Your confidence will improve if you aren't so uptight. Practice on some chicks that you are not really interested in. It's like the Iowa Hawkeyes warming up against Ball State in September - something easy to get the feel of winning.

Start working out. You don't need to be a bodybuilder but lifting some weights will improve your chances greatly. I know this to be true. I went to basic training during my junior year in high school. I came back in killer shape and I had all kinds of chicks. Remember, we're animals first.
