A good Klingon would never leave witnesses.

Choice tidbits. The comment section of the article has brought out the usual nerd suspects.

The clerk told police a white man in his 20s, wearing a black mask, black jacket, and blue jeans, entered the store with a weapon the clerk recognized from the Star Trek TV series.
Both clerks described the weapon as a Star Trek Klingon-type sword, called a "Batleth."
Ross commented 2 hours 37 minutes ago
The photo does not show a bat'leth but rather some cheap knock off. Any true trekker would know that this sword is a faaaaaake.

Are we to assume this means that watching star trek will result in one becoming a convenience store clerk?

A half hour later, police received a call from a 7-Eleven at 2407 N. Union Blvd., where a man matching the previous description entered the store with a similar weapon. He also demanded money from the store clerk. The clerk refused and the robber "transported" himself out of the store on foot.

    hahaha

You totally know that both the robber and the store clerk had that song playing on their internal dialouge soundtrack as this all went down.

No, but this is a sad case of nerd on nerd violence, apparently.

No, but it does mean that every convenience store clerk must be a Trekkie.

Serious, it's the first interview question.
