Lodismission, part deux, IN THEATERS NOW!!!!

OK, so dig this. My captain buys a truck in texas, and finds out that its gonna cost like, a grand to ship it up to CT...So I'm like..."I'll go get it for ya." He's like " seriously?" and i told him hell ya I was serious, i'll take any excuse for a road trip. So he's payin to fly me out to dallas texas, and payin for all the gas...I pay for the hotels and food, but I can take as LONG AS I WANT..... So, BF Peeps..Lodi's gonna be in your area startin next week. The plan is to leave from Dallas, and drive the coast into Louisiana thru florida, then up the east coast till I get to CT..Any one want to meet up???

If you have as long as you want, why in the hell would you take such a direct route?

When do you land in Dallas? My wife is out of town on business, so this week could be tough, but if I have time, I would love to buy you a beer.

Give me a price range and a general location I will see what I can do. If you have to drive an hour to save 20 bucks, it might be a deal killer.

well, on my first trip, I got most of the hotels( except3) for under 100 bucks..I also got some as low as 36 a night ( MOAB and one real sketchy one in Cali) so under 100 is good. I'm gonna head to austin, and from there drive the coast and probably just find a few along the way...KOA camp grounds work too...

Yikes, I don't think I've ever paid a hundred bucks for a room. Most I spent was a jacuzzi suite for about $80. (It was late at night and I guess they just wanted to fill rooms. )

thats the price I usually paid. Mostly between 65 and 75 bucks. Vegas i splurged, and going in to one of the national parks late ( I forgot which one) the only room they had was one of those family things that had a full kitchen, dinning room and three beds, I had no choice, I was so tired I was ready to crash my car...

If you are not picky, you can stay in Plano for sub $50.

Keep an eye out for a Super 8. Nothing fancy, but I've found that they tend to be a bit nicer than Motel 6. A room can usually be had for $50 or less, and there's free wireless internet access at most of them.

So by the time your boss pays for gas and airfare, it's gonna be around $2,500 right? See you next week, Lodi!! And sorry to hear about that hotel. It was the one near Jon's house, wasn't it? Man I warned ya.

Oh and...make sure you shut off your water heater.

Ya know, there's that little hotel down off Central in richardson by the VW dealership. Not sure if they have more than an hourly rate though, lol.

Disclaimer: I have never actually been to said establishment and am only offering conclusions based on observations.....
