I went to a funeral last week for a friend that rode a bike daily, took good care of himself, was an amazing humanitarian...and died of heart failure.

He was 6 years older than me.

considering my issues, i exercise for no other reason than it makes me better, and makes sex more enjoyable for everyone involved. it has pretty much been called I am going to die a final time early, and/or of something stupid.

and I have seen then light, but i really don't like telling that story.

i'm more concerned about how i feel day-to-day. a big gut bomb of a burger, although tasty, will make me feel like #$it for the rest of the day. processed foods, not enough fruits or veggies all make me feel the same. i kinda lost my taste for junky foods altogether.

I get that from some of my friends and coworkers, especially since my 40th birthday. They just don't get it. I don't want to live forever. But I want to know that I'm alive today.

If you can add 20 years to your life potential, and have more energy doing it, I think it's a good idea. I'm much happier now that I eat right and exercise. I feel better, and I have doubts that I'll follow my familie's genetic trend and get diabetes.

Had mine down to mid 40's when I could run well. Now I'm about there too. Getting better though.

I don't know, it's below 60bpm.

the measurement I take now would be off since I drank about 700mL of tea

I'll get back to you on that. how's it measured btw? sitting or lying down?

What is better, to die sort of suddenly like, or rust away? I highly suspect when I go, my last words will be "OOPS!!!!"

Much better than "finally..."

Fixed.

I enjoy the higher quality of life from being healthy, but do not want to be a person who spends 15 years allowing modern technology to keep their hearts beating and lungs moderately functioning.

I enjoy the competing aspect, myself.
I think most young people like myself (A young 21) exersize in one way or another just because it's fun, or it feels good. None of us under 30 are thinking about death.

I should have been dead a long time ago, at least 3 seperate times. So I'm already ahead of the game.
