The Woman who lives in a shoe

I work at a non-profit that serves children. As a result, the bathroom reading material is usually...well today it is nursery rhymes.

Has it occurred to anyone that the old woman who lived in a shoe was just an old *****?

Most of those old rhymes are not good.

Think about this.

Rock a bye baby
In the treetop
When the wind blows
the cradle will rock
when the bough breaks
the cradle will fall
and down will come baby
cradle and all

I mean what kind of parent puts their kid to sleep at the top of a tree in a cradle while damaging winds are blowing?

I've been reading the original Grimm's fairy tales. They are disturbing as hell...

I just realized....this is actually a prophecy, and its coming true thanks to the octuplets.
