Looks like I might have to go under the knife for the first time

The ER docs were fabulously wrong. Got an MRI yesterday.. Not what I wanted to hear.
Full ACL tear, partial lcl and complex meniscus tear or something like that. Some kinda cyst on the back of the knee, 5cm wide.

Seeing the ortho tomorrow.

Sorry man.
I've been cut on numerous occasions. It's not so bad.
Show up early with a couple of dozen of the best Dunkin' Doughnuts has to offer and present it to the nurses' station on your floor.

Wish you the best of luck. I'm going under the knife on Friday for a torn meniscus. Woohoo. It will be nice to get back on the bike though, it's been over four months since I was able to ride. The doc I saw originally really missed my diagnosis as well.

I hope they can repair the meniscus. The docs were able to repair mine when they did the ACL but that meant 6 weeks with no weight bearing.

Sorry skinny - at least it sounds like a sexy sports medicine injury.

Good luck with the procedure and keep us posted.

Me too- take care! Allen, that's a fabulous suggestion! Way back when I worked in nursing, this kind of gesture was always very well received and remembered. Don't think of it as a bribe, but as a gift of appreciation for all the hard work they do.

GL with your operation.
nurse is a mostly thankless job so be sure to let them know you appreciate their professionalism.
