If I'm understanding it. Preconstancy supposes that the brain is hard-wired to interpret something in a certain manner. Posconstancy infers that some analysis occurs within the brain, and that how we define what we are seeing is dependent on that.
If I have it right, it seems like some serious hair-splitting, but I suppose that knowing which way it is could lead to something else.
