As Seen on TV

What "infomercial" products have you ordered? Some of them actually work pretty well. For instance the Rain X spray on product works quite well at beading the water away during a rainstorm.

an overwhelming majority of them really work as advertised...

personal favourite is the thawing/defrosting plate. really speeds up the process of getting frozen foods to room temperature without leaving the centre frozen

Those Ginsu knives are rad, and the only weak point of that P90X workout seems to be ME.

The shamwow works well enough, but two of mine have been practically shredded in the dryer. I'm going with 50% wow and 50% sham.

The ab roller is the dumbest thing I've ever purchased.

The magic bullet is pretty nice--for someone who hardly ever needs to use a big blender/food processor, it is perfect.

Does stuff from QVC count as "As Seen on TV"?

If so, that's where I got my enameled cast iron French oven.
I have a Ronco food dehydrator, but I didn't buy it from the infomercial.

Nu-uh, I can make very nice chunky salsa with it. The trick is to press lightly.

And vice versa.

Also, I want to find the person/people who came up with those names and run them through.

Then you can pee in it while watching tv and wait for a commercial to go wring it out.

To me, the funniest thing about the snuggie commercial is the family all dressed in their snuggies at the sporting event. they look so totally ridiculous. i love it.

It can be seen as "ironically cool".

I rock my snuggie with my yellow pair of crocks. A slice of heaven.
