My wife puts kraut and mustard on all of them. I tend to vary it depending on if there's any nominal 'origin' to the sausage in the 1st place, kraut and mustard on the Germanish ones, other stuff on the Latin-ish ones. Peppers and onions generally not allowed in the house (by the other household members) but I don't see them being inappropriate just about ever.

I'm typically not much of a hot dog eater, but the few times I do partake, I like either:
chili w/chopped onions (no cheese)
sauerkraut and mustard

i really only like mustard (spicy or "regular"). I only eat hot dogs at a ball game, so I might do one or two a year. i love to load a brat down with kraut and dijon or spicy mustard.

I likes them plain.

However when in NYC we hit Crif Dogs where they make their own smoked hot dog. And they have lots of different toppings. I had the - Spicy Redneck - which isthe house dog, bacon wrapped, w/ chili, cole slaw, and jalapeņos. And it's also deep fried. It was good - but had a little too much stuff on it for me.

Hebrew National preferably or whatever chicken/turkey if having a BBQ with my girlfriend.

A little mayo and mustard with loads of onions if possible.

Growing up in Detroit, Chili and onions was the only way to go, and only at Lafayette Coney Island Downtown.

Going to school in the Bronx a Hebrew National with saurkraut.

I thought Nathan's was disgusting.

They only clean the grills once at the beginning of the season.

The most unique thing about a Comerica Park dog is they cost five dollars.

I was born in Michigan, and every time we ever went back we had to get our Coney fix. As I understand it, they were nothing like the "NY Coney Island" coney...but I don't care, I loved them!!!

My uncle managed to get a recipe for the michigan style coney sauce and has made them for the holidays a few times!!
