hehe --- I did that a couple of times (for highlighting) It is weird (takes a long time too)! However I really felt the highlighting was not very visible (for my desires) - too toned down that I took matters into my own hands, purchased a highlighting kit and have been doing it ever since myself (probably 20 years). And I get compliments from my hairdressers too.
